Ladder Run privacy policy
Ladder Run is a game about money habits. It is built so that nothing about you leaves your iPhone.
What we collect
Nothing. Ladder Run does not collect, store on a server, sell or share any personal data. It has no accounts or sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services that collect data. The game itself sends nothing over the internet: it runs entirely from the app on your phone, offline. Purchases go through the App Store; see below.
What stays on your iPhone
- Your saves. Your campaign, daily board results, Codex cards and settings are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes them.
- Classroom details. If you type a name and a class code in Settings, they are stored on your iPhone with your saves, and are used only in the classroom export described below.
The classroom export
Settings › Export for teacher makes a spreadsheet file (CSV) and a one-page summary of your progress: the name and class code you typed, rows cleared, net worth in the game's play money, time played, Codex cards and similar game results. The files are created on your iPhone and go only where you send them yourself, through the iPhone share sheet (for example Mail, AirDrop or Files). We never receive them. If you do not use the export, nothing is shared.
Purchases
The full game (rows 4 to 10) is an in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account. The app only asks Apple, on your iPhone, whether the full game has been bought, so it can unlock it and restore it, and remembers that answer on your iPhone so the rows stay open offline. Apple's own privacy policy applies to purchases: apple.com/legal/privacy.
ℂoins
ℂoins, the game's currency, are play money. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, and cannot be exchanged for money or prizes.
Children
Ladder Run is made for a general audience, including students in classrooms. Because the game collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.
Links
The Codex links to the published research behind its cards, and Settings links to this page. Those links open in Safari; the websites you visit there have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If a future version changes what is described here (for example by adding online features), this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
